Comments (0) In January, I photographed a family in Alexandria, Virginia for the Spring 2009 edition of SZ Digest. Two of my images were published with the article entitled, “Caregiver Profile: The Extraordinary in the Ordinary.” The article is about a married couple, Gina and John, caring for his mother, Carmencita who has schizophrenia and lives with them in their home. I took several posed photos of the family as well as some photos of the family working together to do everyday tasks like setting the table, brushing hair, hanging clothes, playing with their dog, and even dancing in the kitchen.
