For those of you who don’t know, I work full-time as the webmaster for Jim Koons Automotive. For the past couple months the government has been running the “Cash for Clunkers” program where dealers take old cars with poor gas mileage as a trade-in and customers get money from the government for their trade. As part of the program, the dealer agrees to destroy the clunker. Well, last week I got to see the clunkers get destroyed. Here are a few photos of the vehicles getting smashed! This past Saturday was Clarendon Day in Arlington. Part of the festivities included an electric racing kart demonstration put on by the NoVA Kart Racing group and Volta Grand Prix. Below is a photo of David from the Kart groups driving his electric racing kart on a course marked by cones in the street. More photos can be viewed here.
